Frequently asked questions
These answers explain the general programme approach. Detailed eligibility, authority and financial controls remain subject to the Trust Deed and formally approved AICSS policies.
Who can join?
1. Who can become a member of this AICSS initiative?
Eligible individual pastors, evangelists, missionaries and other church or ministry workers may enrol with their families, subject to the membership criteria approved by AICSS.
2. Can a pastor join together with his or her family?
Yes. Membership is family-based. The Family Head maintains one family account, and eligible family members are recorded under that account.
3. Can a church, fellowship, NGO, school or hospital join as an organisation?
No. This initiative is for eligible individuals and their families. It does not offer institutional membership. Other AICSS programmes, if applicable, are separate.
4. Who is the Family Head?
The Family Head is the registered individual who manages the family membership account, maintains family details and ordinarily submits welfare requests on behalf of the enrolled family.
5. Can a family member report a need if the Family Head is unavailable?
Yes. A spouse or suitable adult family representative may contact the designated AICSS coordinator or provide information, subject to confirmation of the family account and circumstances.
How do the contribution options work?
6. What is the family registration fee?
The one-time family registration fee is ₹1,000 per family. It is not charged separately for every family member.
7. What are the monthly and annual participation contributions?
The Family Head may select either:
- ₹30 per enrolled family member per month, or
- ₹300 per enrolled family member per year, instead of monthly contributions.
The annual option is an alternative to the monthly option, not an additional charge.
8. How is the family contribution calculated?
The software calculates the contribution using the number of enrolled family members. For example, if the Family Head, spouse and two children are enrolled, the monthly total is ₹120 (4 × ₹30), or the annual total is ₹1,200 (4 × ₹300).
9. Is lifetime membership available?
The proposed lifetime membership contribution is a one-time ₹10,000 per individual. For a family account, the amount is calculated according to the number of family members enrolled for lifetime membership. Final enrolment and payment rules should be confirmed in the approved policy.
10. Does paying a membership contribution guarantee welfare assistance?
No. Membership contributions support the initiative but do not create an automatic right to a grant, a fixed amount or assistance at a particular time. Every request is assessed under the applicable welfare policy and available funds.
How can a family request assistance?
11. Who can submit a welfare request?
Ordinarily, the Family Head submits a request for an active enrolled family and its eligible enrolled members through the AICSS system.
12. When can a newly registered family apply?
Under the current programme approach, a newly registered family may submit a welfare request from the date its registration is completed. The registration fee does not create a separate waiting period. Renewal timing and active status are governed by the applicable monthly or annual renewal rules in the approved policy and software.
13. How does a family report a need?
The Family Head signs in, selects the relevant welfare category, identifies the enrolled family member concerned, explains the need, enters the relevant date and estimated amount, uploads available supporting documents and submits the application. The system provides an application reference.
14. What information and documents are required?
Existing family membership information should be retrieved automatically. The applicant provides details of the particular need and only documents relevant to that request, such as medical records, hospital estimates, education fee details or death confirmation. Additional information may be requested if necessary.
15. Does every request need every document?
No. Documents depend on the welfare category and circumstances. AICSS should avoid unnecessary collection of personal or sensitive information. Further documents may be requested when reasonably needed for assessment or financial accountability.
How does AICSS review a request?
16. What happens after an application is submitted?
The software routes the application to the designated Taluk Leader or Coordinator associated with the registered family. After a preliminary completeness review, the Taluk Leader forwards it to AICSS Central Office.
17. What is the role of the Taluk Leader or Coordinator?
The Taluk Leader receives the application, checks basic completeness, adds preliminary observations where appropriate and forwards it to the Central Office. The Taluk Leader does not make the final welfare decision or promise assistance.
18. Will every application undergo a second local verification?
No. AICSS Central Office normally reviews the application and documents received. Only selected cases requiring further clarification or confirmation may be referred to a nearby authorised representative for second-level verification.
19. Who makes the final decision?
The final decision rests with the authorised AICSS authority under the approved governance and delegation arrangements. Taluk Leaders and local representatives may provide observations or verification reports but cannot independently approve assistance unless formally authorised.
20. What factors are considered when reviewing a request?
AICSS may consider active family membership, whether the affected person is enrolled, the nature and urgency of the need, supporting information, verification findings, the amount requested, programme rules and funds available.
21. Can an application be deferred or declined?
Yes. A request may be approved, declined, deferred or returned for further information. The status or decision should be recorded and communicated to the applicant.
How is assistance funded and provided?
22. How is approved assistance provided?
Assistance is provided through authorised banking channels. Depending on the approved programme, payment may be made to a hospital or service provider, an approved educational institution, or a verified eligible beneficiary or authorised family representative. Education assistance is paid to the approved educational institution.
23. Why is assistance subject to available funds?
AICSS is a charitable initiative and assistance depends on donations and funds actually received and available for charitable use. AICSS cannot guarantee that the full amount requested will be collected or that every eligible request will receive complete financial assistance.
24. Can supporters contribute to a prayer and welfare appeal?
Yes. When AICSS approves and publishes an appeal for a verified welfare need, supporters and well-wishers may make voluntary contributions. Small contributions, including ₹100 or more, may help. Such donations are voluntary and are not an additional membership fee or a condition for submitting a welfare request.
25. Are appeal donations a second membership contribution?
No. There is one family membership contribution structure. Donations made voluntarily in response to an approved welfare appeal are charitable donations, not a second membership plan or compulsory payment.
26. How can people make a donation?
Donations should be made only through the registered trust's official bank account and approved electronic payment facilities published by AICSS. Personal payment accounts of individual office-bearers should not be used for public fundraising.
27. Will donors be thanked?
AICSS intends to acknowledge and thank contributors, subject to their preferences. Donor names, phone numbers and payment details should not be published without consent. AICSS may provide consolidated appeal and assistance summaries for transparency.
28. Will donors receive an income-tax deduction?
Tax deduction benefits should not be assumed. AICSS may issue donation receipts, but any tax deduction can be represented only if the trust has obtained the applicable approval and the donation meets the relevant legal requirements.
29. Is assistance conditional on religious belief or participation?
No. AICSS charitable assistance must be administered without discrimination based on religious belief and must not be conditional on worship, conversion or participation in religious activities.
Need help with a welfare request?
Contact the designated AICSS Taluk Leader or Coordinator, or use the official contact details published by AICSS. Please do not send sensitive personal documents to unofficial phone numbers or personal payment accounts.
